We wanted to create a space on our web site that allowed us to share our perspective on industry trends, family and gift-giving traditions and other anecdotes that capture our take on "lifestyle design". We at Cabell's are constantly asking ourselves what we would want on our own table and in our homes, as well as, checking out what others are doing in theirs. While stores do a great job of merchandising their wares, there's nothing like walking into a friend's home and thinking,"I NEVER would have thought of that!"
Have you used our products in a creative way or given one of our pieces as a gift and want to share your story? E-mail us your "dish" and we'll post it here!

Spring is in the air, and we at Cabell’s are excited about what’s blooming! Our new line of NFL pottery is set to hit the marketplace this season, and we are keeping our fingers crossed that people will have the same affection for their favorite NFL team as they have for their beloved College team. Look for pictures of the new line on our website coming soon!
Warmer weather also inspires us to think about bright colors, indoor organization and outdoor projects. As you may have noticed, we choose vibrant colors over neutrals, and what could be more inspiring than the purple crocus, golden daffodils and red tulips popping up all over the South right now? It certainly inspires us more than tackling the clutter in our kitchen pantries, which is also on the to-do list.
The good news is, lots of great organizational products are now in the market, and they even come in the bright, yummy colors we love! After you finish with your spring cleaning, don’t forget to get outside and enjoy the changing weather. Here’s an idea: fire up the grill, invite friends over, and serve up a great warm-weather meal on your favorite Cabell’s serving piece. In fact, why not turn it into a, “Hey, come over to my house for some home cookin’ and help plant my annuals!” party? Sounds like a winning idea to us!
However you choose to ring in spring, remember to let Cabell’s help you celebrate life…everyday.

Go Dawgs! OK, I know that sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard to some of you reading this, but I can't help it. It's that festive time of year when friends, families and children are reunited from afar as they gather around tailgate parties on college game day. And because Susan, Laurie and I graduated from the University of Georgia, we are steeped in tailgating nostalgia and fervor. I continue to stand amazed at seeing and hearing how others enjoy our line of tailgating products at gatherings across the nation as much as we do. I have to admit it's kind of surreal to walk by a UGA tailgate and see our pieces filled with fried chicken, potato salads and veggies. WHo knew? I guess we did! So, if your not a Dawg, then don't worry, we probably have your team licensed. Be sure to check out the schools we do have and find one that brings out the revelry in you in our "More Than Just Tailgatin': section. See you on game day!
Add all ingredients together, serve with Fritos scoops in one of our chip and dip pieces on game day!

Deck the halls with Cabell's Christmas line! When I married my husband 10 years ago, most brides registered for a Christmas or holiday china pattern. Since I was only 24 when I married, I let my mom take the lead on our registry since she was the one with all the life experience in homemaking and entertaining. So, we chose a Christmas pattern that my aunts and grandmother collected so that we could combine them if any of us ever ended up doing a seated dinner for 60 (it could happen!). Since then, I've used my 10 place setting exactly 10 times - each Christmas Eve that we've been married. After the meal, they're packed up and stored for their annual debut next year.
Three years ago, when I joined the Cabell's team, Cabell was in the process of designing several Christmas pieces ranging from server ware to dinnerware. When I saw the brightly colored, festive pieces come out of the kiln, I found myself all of a sudden brainstorming on how to take the Christmas Eve dinner I usually host from a nice, ordinary family gathering to a much more cheerful and celebratory event. And isn't that what Christmas is all about - celebrating? So if you are tired of using the same old holiday dishes your grandmother used (even though I am sure they're charming), and want to kick things up a notch like me, then be sure to check out our "Deck The Halls" line. I sure did, and my former dishes have never been happier in their lovely new home they found courtesy of eBay.
